Yeah thats right!

So we had to take pics for christmas cards whilst I was home for T-day!

I think this was the best picture. I kept trying to take some fun ones, but mom was not up for that. But alas when her camera card was full and mine was sitting close, meaning it was faster to use mine than to upload and clear her card... That is the plus of using your own camera, I knew exactly when to pose... and informed my bro of what was about to go down. It was great. I have some of me, Tyler, and rory wrestling... they shall come later!

I love Christmas. I love Christmas Decorations. I hate bugs. I'm the meanest Intern ever. I'm about to chocolate cover bugs and force some of my youth to eat them... if they want an ipod. I can't believe I have 3 to 5 times to go to my classes and then finals and I'm done! I'm so sick of school its ridonculous! I admitted to xanga that I'm having an affair with blogger. I don't think it took it well.

I just watched a baby story... I don't think I EVER want to have kids! I'm serious!

A-Maze-Ing!

Ok Jesus never ceases to amaze me! We had our High School retreat this weekend. And lets just say Daddy WROCKED our faces!
I started out with pretty much none of the few youth that I kinda knew being there, and in five minutes I had my posse that never left my side; within 10 they were already saying they loved me! It was amazing. My entire job this weekend was to bond b/c I really didn't know any of them, and its hard to get to know them seeing them 1 hour maybe 2 hours a week. Our first session was great and then we had the second one and ended up cancelling the third b/c thats how awesome God was moving during it. It was also cool b/c I knew the drummer from student life stuff, so we had some good catch up time. And by the end of 1 hour with the speaker we were so tight we were planning our t-shirt making business. It was great! And I got to use Bob of "me and bob"'s powerbook and it was amazing!
Anyways we started this retreat in our sanctuary telling the youth about the "identy crisis" that we feel the youth group is in right now, and ended up at what is to be our new building. We got to have the first worship service there and pray over the building that will be our new "home".
So all in all I had an amazing, God filled weekend and now my heart could not be more tied down to this group. If God hadn't afrimed my being where I am it would have totally been by this weekend.

But when I showed up this morning I had kids from the 1 hour of life groups waiting for me before they headed up the hill for 2nd service it was great!

I should have some awesome pics coming soon...

Grace

Grace a word that has lost all its significant to us. As Brennan Manning puts it in his book Ragamuffin Gospel, " The word itself, grace, has become trite and debased through misuse and overuse. It does not move us the way it moved our early Christian ancestors. In some European countries certain high ecclesiastical officials are sill called "Your Grace." Sportswriters speak of Michael Jordan's "easy grace" and entrepreneur Donald Trump has been described as "lacking grace." A new perfume appears with the label "grace" and a child's report card is called a "disgrace." The word has lost its raw, imaginative power." You can't put it any better than that. You hear the word today and it’s in reference to a person, a person’s ability to walk and not trip over their own feet, or put into something negative.
Which just makes me wonder what this word that so much of our faith is based on really means. According to Webster, It is, "unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification; a virtue coming from God; a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine grace; approval, favor; disposition to or an act or instance of kindness, courtesy, or clemency; a temporary exemption; a charming or attractive trait or characteristic; a pleasingly graceful appearance or effect; ease and suppleness of movement or bearing; used as a title of address or reference for a duke, a duchess, or an archbishop; a short prayer at a meal asking a blessing or giving thanks; the quality or state of being considerate or thoughtful." That’s a really long definition. But the Bible simply says "its by grace that you are saved." So what is it that saves you, is it approval, favor, a temporary exemption, a charming or attractive trait? I can't say that I can tell you; I don't understand it as well.

Ok thats all for now... but I'll be back on this subject again soon, prolly like tomorrow!
